Installing the Crash Bar Reinforcement These cross bars go between the lower crash bar which is 1.25" diameter and the uppers which are 1" in diameter. The right and left bars are different. There are 4 half clamps and 8 M5 hex head cap screws with locking nuts.
Installing the Crash Bar Reinforcement These support bars have an M6 threaded hole for future accessories. This hole is covered up by the clamps for now.
Installing the Crash Bar Reinforcement Place the 1.25 saddle clamp on the bottom over the lower crash bar. If you have the correct piece the upper 1" saddle will sit right against the upper crash bar tube and the bar will be a bit slanted into the bike. Remember, there are right and left cross bars and they are different.
Installing the Crash Bar Reinforcement The clamps will capture the nuts. I like leaving the hex heads up and facing to the front. The nuts are locking so no need for locktite.
Installing the Crash Bar Reinforcement Run the bolts in so the clamp gap on the right and left are equal. Don't tighten yet.
Installing the Crash Bar Reinforcement This is the left side of the bike. Position the cross bar so it's on a straight section about 1" back from the end of the lower crash bar curve.
Installing the Crash Bar Reinforcement This is the right side of the bike. Tighten to 7ft lbs (10nm). Alternatly tighten the 2 bolts to maintain an equal gap.
Installing the Crash Bar Reinforcement This is the left side of the bike. Tighten to 7ft lbs (10nm). Alternatly tighten the 2 bolts to maintain an equal gap.
