Part No. 08M70-MKS-E00 239.00
Push the rubber bumpers into place. Jack the bike up.
Put grease in hinge holes.
A view from under the bike.. Slip the center stand over the tube on the top and into the tube on the bottom.
A washer and C clip holds the stand in place.
Put the washer on and secure with the C clip.
Prep the tensioner hook by putting grease in the 'C' area and attaching the springs, each going through the hole in the opposite direction.
Place the hook over the pin.
This is the hardest part. You have to stretch the springs and put them in the center stand hook.
Extending the springs to the center stand hook is easier said than done. One way to do it is to tie the spring to a link in the chain. Roll the bike to stretch the spring.
I made a double loop of #14 wire around the bottom of my garage door and a Dewalt bar clamp. Keep the tie point low.
I made a 2nd loop out of some steel cable I had laying around. I aligned the bike with the cable and looped the cable on the spring hook. I stuck a piece of 2x4 to hold the cable down so it would align with the spring hook on the center stand.
I tightened the clamp until the hook on the spring was just past the hook on the centerstand. Lift the center stand and seat the hook by pulling down on the cable and or using a screwdriver to guide it in. Release the clamp and wiggle the cable out of the center stand hook.
This is the second spring. It's tighter but you can still pull the cable away from the hooks.
I evened up the 2 black spring covers.
The bike up on the centerstand.
