Adjusting the Chain With the bike on the centerstand or a jack loosen the jamb nuts.

Adjusting the Chain on a Centerstand Turn the wheel clockwise so the chain slack is at the bottom. Put the slacksetter tool under the swing arm. and measure the slack. It should be 45 to 50mm. You can measure this with a ruler if you don't have this tool.

Adjusting the Chain On my bike this is how the right side looks when it's correct. The notch on the adjusting block is just past the 4th mark on the swing arm. Tighten the adjusting bolt jamb nuts.
