Raising the forks 1"drops the front of the bike arounnd 1".. The lower and upper tripple clamps hold the forks in place.
Measure down 1".
Put a piece of tape 1" down from the bottom of the lower triple clamp.
The bike is on the center stand. Support the rear wheel. We are going to push up on the front wheel and I don't want the rear wheel to move.
Loosen the 10mm clamping / pinch `screws on the upper and lower triple trees.
Loosen the 10mm clamping / pinch `screws on the upper triple tree.
I hammered a piece of 3/4 plywood under the front wheel which pushed the forks up.
You can see the forks are pushing up in the clamps.
When the tape reaches the lower clamp the forks have been pushed up 1".
The top of the forks will stick up out of the upper triple clamp. Measure them to make sure they are the same height.
Torque the lower fork pinch bolts to 18 ft/lbs. Torque the upper pinch bolts to 15 ft/lbs. If you make them too tight you will distort the fork tubes.
